Gospel Publishing Mission had its beginning in 1990 and associated with FEA on January 1, 1994. It has established its place as a pioneer in very basic language literature evangelism to nations around the world. Literature is produced in a limited vocabulary of 1,500 basic English words. The original vocabulary, known as Special English, was formulated by Stanford University for Voice of America in 1958. Gospel Publishing Missions adaptation is known as International English.
There is a need for the International English literature in virtually every nation in the world. A huge percentage of the world’s population either speaks English at some useful level or wants to learn how. We now have books in more than 70 countries and are printing in several locations around the globe. The translation of this classic gospel literature is done by a team of volunteers with special editorial assistance from Dr. Ralph Woodworth.
We publish books on evangelism, prayer, Christian living & devotion, English learning through the Gospel story, biographies, Christian novel, and children’s books. Some of our books are published in bi-lingual format with one of several languages side-by-side with International English.
What is the future of this literature? We are just beginning to scratch the surface of the great hungering and thirsting for the simple Gospel message. Hundreds of thousands of copies have been printed, but millions are yet to come in the near future. It’s estimated that nearly 90% of the world’s youth and working age population need this literature to bring them to Christ and to strengthen them in Christ.
